Why is humidity important for paint booth?
Proper adhesion of paint and finish to surfaces does require high humidity level, too fast drying of freshly applied paint might cause orange peel effect or wrinkling of the finish or other flaws that will increase rejection rate.
Recommended humidity level for your paint booth
The recommended humidity level for painting application is 50 to 80% RH.

Some specific and more stringent humidity level might be required by Industry standard or coating manufacturer.
How can you bring humidity to your artifact conservation room?
Most of the humidifier technologies can be applied to humidify Paint or finishing booth.
Selection of the proper humidification solution should be based on the following:
- What is the required maximum humidification capacity (load) required?
- What sources of energy are available on site?
Most of the time paint booth are equipped with gas fired heaters.
- How is the ventilation system installed and how is the air distributed?
- Which humidification system will require the least amount of energy – calculated for the overall HVAC system?
It is common for this application to require no drop of humidity during production process.
