Why humidity is important at the office?

Productivity is the key to success.

Humidifying your office will increase the comfort of your employees while improving their health.

Regardless of the source of heating you use, heating your hotel in winter will unfortunately dry the indoor air. When the humidity levels drop below 35% RH, The dry air will begin to steal moisture from its surroundings. Living tissue will quickly become dehydrated and the moisture content of the wood structures in your hotel will begin to plummet.

The drop in humidity can create side effects such as:

• Dry and itchy skin, dry hair, dry nose, sore throat.
• Contact lenses prematurely drying out causing discomfort, sore eyes.

• A buildup of static electricity that is released when two objects come into contact.
• Increased transmission of airborne viruses and illness such as flue.
• Permanent damage to wood, causing it to crack or split.

Recommended humidity level for your office

The recommended humidity level for human health by ASHRAE handbooks is between 30-60%RH.

We do recommend a minimum humidity level of 40%RH.
